Creeking Suspension / Steering 2001 540 Touring

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help, after driving my car for about half an hour a sound not unlike the Soup Dragon coming form the front of the car. The noise can be made by turning the steering wheel or bouncing the car whilst stationary. If you leave the car for an hour, you get half an hour of silent driving again. The car is fitted with "m" Tech suspension. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Have the suspension bushes and steering arms checked. Both needed doing on my 2001 540iA Sport Touring with 70k miles. It is a big, heavy car, so suspension wear is to be expected
