Wedge wing mirrors.
Discussion
There are 2 kinds of mirrors as far as I know, the early ones mount on the door and the later more streamlined ones mount on the metal triangle at the top of the door.
If you have the earlier ones and your glass is vibrating at speed, it may just be that the screws mounting the mechanism behind the glass are loose. You will have to remove the glass to tighten them.

worn joint
Time to tape up with balck insulating or replace
Genuine parts like rocking horse dodo
so time for some 400se types me thinks?
Get holes filled in and touch up
attach new ones to metal triangle on door
voila!
easy when you write it! good luck

Like Steve said, the housings are easy to get from Trevor at TET mouldings. I have had quite a few bits fom him and they are all excelent.

The motors are from a Rover SD1, these are not too bad to get a hold of, I got some spare ones off e-bay and have seen a few others since.
It should be possible to get some glass that fits for them, not sure where.
Gareth.

There is also the problem that any impact with the housing will twist the window frame and shatter the window glass as well as other damage. They don't retract. I speak from experience. Took them off the 520 after a coming together at Goodwood.
