water pipe to swirl pot collapsing

Ok bit of a weird one but I have noticed when the car cools down the pipe from the thermostat to the swirlpot ( the one with tvr stamped on it) collapses when cold, when the engine is running its ok and everthing seams as it should. This has only started happening, is a start of a bigger problem ? or has the hose become more pliable with age ?, anyone else has this ?

Yesearly vw passat,golf,polo,jetta etc.
