Where did you get them from ? Sue at the PH shop says they don't sell them. 
...Soak in soapy water with the release paper removed (take care not to make contact with anything else or itself!
Gently position wet on the screen and slide to correct position
Then use a rag or sponge and squeeeeeeze/smooooth the water out between the strip and the glass taking care to smooth all the area and edges...
Leave to dry.
Works for me every time....

Just another option:
I wasn't prepared to stick vinyl on the exterior of the screen, thought that it would start to lift over time an get stone rash etc. So I rested the screen in place, masked of the screen and drew the required shape on the tape. Then had the screen filmed on the inside, just to overlap the bonding strip by 1mm. result is good.
