Bridge camera or cannon g9

I want the following;

decent optical zoom with oprtical stabilisation, SD card, manual controls etc. More interested in the quality of the lens than going for massive MP.

Ideally, I would like passive AF, less than 500g and buying in the US so price up to approx £450 but less is good!

I have done the whole SLR thing and just dont need the size and weight. I have a nice shiny EOS 1d with all the kit which I can use whenever I like, and I have not used it forever!

Ideas please.

Also - where is the best place to go check out the biggest range of cameras in london before I order online?
