Green Condoms

I have recently had my dash panels off and had them re-veneered.

At the same time I wanted to tackle the illumination of the main instruments (rev. counter and speedometer). This was not as a result of the resistors, which have been by-passed. When taking the bulbs out I found miniature green condoms on them!! These were removed and washed, then replaced on new bulbs. And it worked.
