Have you Still got the Porsche 944S2?

Nice car, sold mine this year and got the Chimaera. Far more recognition with the TVR!!

Any way, can I presume you are in the market for a Chimaera then? if so the T5 Box was used to replace the old Rover unit as this did have its problems?

The T5 came from Borg-Warner and was used in the Sierra Cosworth for its robust build, you may have seen the odd post about selecting 5th gear then reverse to help it slot home, but thats common and not a problem. It is supposed to be very long lasting.

Providing the rover box has been treated to regular oil changes then it lasts fine. As it only uses ATF it needs swapping out every 15K or so and this is rarely done.

The T5 has a slightly sweeter shift and is a bit lighter and thats about it

Look out for weak 2nd and 3rd synchros and both boxes are notchy from cold.
