i have a 4.5 and the induction pipes are needing a shave, im thinking of fitting the ACT pipes and have seen them advertised some where without the ecu and remap, am i right ? can the pipes be changed without a remap as i really dont see the need for more horsepower in an already quick car, besides more power is less reliability as my cerbie is driven every day as i did not buy it to look at on the drive

Hi,

I don't think that ACT sell the Pipes on their own. If they did then you would also need to buy the back plates as well to make them fit as they are slightly narrower than the original pipes.

Track Car Solutions (TCS aka Trackcar on here) does sell the Whirlwind Induction Pipes on their own as a replacement for the original pipes. The Whirlwind Induction Pipes will fit directly in place of your old pipes. Your car will not need a remap just by swapping the pipes over, but you may notice a slight difference in performance delivery, you car may feel slightly more powerful as it *may* gain a bit of BHP. A proper remap would fully release a potential 390bhp or alternatively the Whirlwind Induction Pipes can be bought with a generic chip that will see your power increase upto 390bhp. 3 Options so it can't be bad.....

Here is a link to the Whirlwind Induction Pipes, it says out of stock but it just menas that you have to order them -

Hope this helps,
