Just brought my "new" CV8 back from north wales. Its wonderfull, almost no need to change gear if you dont want to; or you can revell in all that power in 2nd all the way up to 6000,then snick in 6th and cruise.Im in love already!and to think I had almost avoided it because I wasnt sure about black. All I need to do now is build on the 5700 miles that are on the clock!smilebiggrinlaughspinnutsbounce

I'd always say don't buy a black car. I made the exception for the Monaro and feel it was the right choice. Enjoy.

They're great cars aren't they You'll have a stupid grin on your face every time you get in - I still do even after 6 weeks of daily driving. Plainly black is the best-looking and fastest colour, even though it's a git to keep clean at this time of year!

Congratulations. As another fastest colour owner welcome to the club. The only downsides are keeping it clean and having to run as many errands as possible just to be able to get behind the wheel. I put down 3000 miles per annum for ins purposes and have down that in 3 months. Thats with a fully expensed co car on the drive. Enjoy.driving

Didn't see you on the road. Just got back home having done the round trip from Northamptonshire to Wrexham and back. Same colour car as yours (05 VXR). Enjoy!

Congratulations, you made a good choice, CV8s are often overlooked when they are still brilliant cars and the best value for money of the range. Now let the modification process begin!
