People, my MY05 Murci appears to be throwing a wobbler on the central locking

Is there a known central locking issue with these things ? (I seem to recall reading other threads on this subject some time ago)

When I lock it with the keyfob it bleeps, locks, then unlocks itself whenever I try and lock it.

I then have to resort to using the key to lock it proper.

My son was faffing around with the keyfob earlier today, and I fear he has messed something up!!

Similar problem with mine Steve, it used to unlock itself then relock straight away!! It's usually caused by the actuators inside the doors but apparently, the issues we resolved for 2005 MY cars! (mine was a 2003) Lamborghini Wycombe changed one of the actuators and waterproofed the doors (the problems are caused by moisture) it was fine for a while then the fault reappeared! I'm guessing if both were changed then the problem would be solved!!

Thanks Paul, smile

Looks like I better get it down to the Dealers to resolve then!

(Another day out faffing about!)

Got to be due an MOT soon, as well. These cars always seem to go wrong, once they get old.

Happened to me too, I just had mine replaced under warranty but took me 140mile round trip to the garage and that was after I came home from it the day before for my window motor, you can imagine how pissed I was!!!

Very common problem, but only about a 1 1/2 hour fix to replace the actuator.
