Motorcycle satnav. TomTom Rider 2 or Garmin Zumo 550

My son wants a satnav for his motorbike as a Christmas present.

The choice seems to be between the Rider 2 and the Zumo 550.

It will also get used in a car when he passes his car test.

Anyone have either of these and can advise?

Zumo 550 is great. And it comes with all the gubbins to use in a car, too.

I'm in the same boat. Heard good and bad reviews on both systems, have decided to have a look at the NEC to be convinced further. Do a search on here and on UKGSER.com and you might find some interesting and confusing snippets. At the mo, TTR 2 is taking the lead, just because its easier to use and I have a TT in the car so I know most of the buttons

ETA which system runs on an Apple???????????
