XKR - 4.2S - Dropping out of Sports Mode

I have a 55 plate XKR 4.2S which in all respects has been a superb car over the last couple of years.

I run the car constantly in sports mode, and use the J gate to hold the gears but have noticed recently that switching across the gate back to drive can disengage the sports mode completely

Flicking the sports button doesn't help, and the only solution is to "ensure" non sport mode or park up for 5-10 mins and its seems to reset it self. Its intermittent sometimes it does it within 10 mins sometimes 2 hrs.

Before I take it to a dealer wondering if you guys have any idea's.

The sports mode switch has been known to be iffy. Straight to the dealers.
