Just a few points for those attending Pistonfest.

Firstly, as mentioned by mervynp on another thread, you can find the location of Warwickshire's speed - sorry - safety cameras at: www.warwickshire.gov.uk/Web/corporate/pages.nsf/Links/4AA74CEA1F59CE8C80256B5E003137A1

But as listed on the same thread, there are mobile speed traps to watch out for as well. However, as mentioned elsewhere by jon h, this weekend also sees the Royal Show at Stoneleigh, virtually just up the road from Pistonfest, so hopefully this'll mean Warwickshire's BiB will be too busy protecting the Windsors from the embarassing antics of so-called comedians to mount a purge.

It'll certainly mean loads of traffic around junctions 13 to 15 of the M40 and the roads off them, with the dual carraigeway A46 Warwick and Kenilworth bypass off J15 likely to be particularly badly affected. However, if you're coming off the M40 at J15 for Pistonfest, you'll be heading the other way.

Also worth mentioning that bridges over motorways and dual carraigeways are favourite spots for local plod to mount those mobile speed traps.

Finally, they've been out 'resurfacing' various roads in the area by applying a microscopic layer of tar and dumping a load of loose chippings on top. Most of this should have been down for two weeks or more by now so it's past the worst, but still something to watch out for.

Safe driving, let's hope for decent weather, and roll on Pistonfest!
