i think if your an extremely talented racing driver/rider whatever like the one that have mentioned i think yes you will be quick on anything, give Rossi, Schuy, or Colin (RIP) a combine harvester, i think harvest would come early that year.

That's pretty impressive, I wonder how your average rider would fare on one.

Anyone fancy giving me a go on one.

bikers versus drivers is one thing; but how about rally drivers versus race drivers; the by now pensionable age early-80s rally god Walter Röhrl

reportedly drove the doors off Schumacher round the 'Ring in identical cars recently; apparently MS was aggrieved and called him a "lunatic". given the conditions they have to contend with, it's arguable that rally drivers and road-race bikers have never had the respect they deserve, relative to their circuit peers

Rohrl is Porsches' Ring Tester though - he bloody nearly wore a set of tracks into the tarmac testing the Carrera GT - heaven knows how many miles he's racked up there...

Wonder if he'd try to cheat on a bike as much as he did in a car ?

Not likely, too much potential to hurt his legs driving into the sides of rivals, plus motorbikes are pretty small so parking them in the middle of a track wouldn't do much good smile

edited to add: Still impressive time though

Schuey was also only using steel brakes, so around 1 sec lost for those vs Carbon units

Does this show how good the Dukes TC actually is then? I bet a competent track day rider could hit the same times.

Put Schumi on a early 90's NSR 500 and see what times he does.

What puts it in perspective for me is that Schumacher, was only Two and a half seconds behind Melandri, on the same bike.
