E36 Cruise control

Hi guys!

Does anyone know if cruise control can be easily retrofitted to an E36 3-series, namely a 325 TDS? I've got used to having it on other cars and am thinking of buying one of these and there aren't too many around with cruise fitted as standard. I would be most interested in fitting the stock BMW bits rather than an aftermarket kit.If it is possible, have any of you fitted it and is it easy or not?

OEM retrofit kit is available from BMW - around £450 inc VAT IIRC.

Alternatively, try FAB or similar - but Cruise was pretty rare on E36s, even the later ones.

What year is your car - pre or post 9/95?

Hi-didn't know it made a difference. Its a car I'm thinking of buying and its a P 1997 car. thanks for the help so far. P

Should be available as a retro fit kit from BMW - obviously cheaper second hand if you can get all the bits

Be aware you need a kit for a diesel if buying secondhand
