1998 VW Golf Cabrio Hood Needed

Hi all,

Some little b***ards put a knife through the hood of my g/f's Golf, its left a tear in the outside fabric about 10" long and its located between the rear qtr light and the rear screen. I am considering both repair or replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions:

Is a a repair a viable option?
How much should I expect to pay?
Anyone know any good reputable people about to do this work in the South East - Kent pref?
Should I just replace it?
Again what would I expect to pay, and where to go?
