I've asked for a quote for a set of trackday wheels, shod with Kumhos, I reckon they'll be the nuts.

I know we've covered this before, but a 20kg saving on unsprung is supposed to equate to 4 times the saving off the body. I know that a lap of snett on one's tod is worth 2 secs over one with passenger, so perhaps with these wheels, we could see another 2 secs off??

I'll definitely get Dymag Carbon/Mag wheels for my next project car. Would be great if they make them an inch smaller, say 17x10/17x12. In addition to the wheels, carbon fibre louvers, deep front splitter, carbon fibre venturi undertray, light weight clutch, aluminum radiator, and a supercharged LS7 (850bhp). That's what I'm talking about!

I held one of those Carbon Dymags in my hand last week at SEMA. Nice!
Reminds me of the Saxon made carbon rims I had on my Bimota YB8 back in 1994.
BTW, Superbike mag ran a few pics of me and my Bims sometime in 96.

The wide rim requires a low inset swept back spoke/hub. A renderings shows it:

Seriously though - lovely wheels. Have seen them on the Koenigsegg CCX. The only thing that would concern me is that the brittleness of the rims would make them fairly kerb intolerant?

Worries me that. I sent them a pic of the latest Snetterton Kerb hopping antics and they seem to think it'd be OK. I might have to adapt my driving style..

You is a designy type. What colour spokes would you go for?

I'm thinking light graphite. Dark enough to mask brake dust, but still light enough to show good contrast between rim and spoke??
