Rear Brake Conversion
Discussion
Please help?
I am in the process of fitting a disc conversion to the rear of my car (previously had Drums). The car currently has a bias valve for the rear, my question's are?
Can I leave this in place with no other mods?
Will I need to remove this and fit a brake proportioning valve?
Will I need to leave it in place and fit a brake proportioning valve?
Thanks

Drums can have a self servoing action whereas disks don't. That alone means you need to think carefully about the brake system as a whole. If the rear disks are off of another model of the same car as yours then you should be able to safely copy the whole system. Otherwise you need to get your slide-rule out.
