We had this defect several years ago and it seems to have come back now.

When viewing posts in descending order, posts that are made the same minute as others are sorted incorrectly making quoted replies to a post look as if they were posted earlier than the post they are quoted ("Holy Time Travel, Batman&quotwink

I haven't tested it to see if it happens with ascending order.

Edit: The original defect was due to the resolution of the post timestamp being only to the nearest minute, but I doubt that is the issue this time.

Update: This only affects descending order. Switching to ascending order has the thread flowing chronologically correctly, so it looks like an issue in the sort order code.

Oh, and as my original post shows, we STILL have the ancient defect of quote marks followed by a closing bracket being interpreted as an emoticon.
