Hi, Im thinking of purchasing a new lens for my kodak P880 and i have just seen that i need this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kodak-Lens-adaptor-for-P88...

This is ok but i was wondering, does that mean i can get any 55 mm thread lens to screw onto it? I keep hearing of 52-55, layering etc and i am so confused! I was just wondering if i can only have lenses associated with the P880 or if i can get filters, polarizers, Uv filters etc as long as they are 55mm?

Yes, I believe this is an adaptor that allows you to use any 55mm screw-on filters for your camera.

Mmmm, why do you need to add lenses when it's already got one? It's not interchangeable, is it?

Well, theres a telephoto lens available for the camera, which increases the optical zoom by 1.4x so i was wondering if, providing it was 55mm could i have one that magnifies more.
