Tom Tom One GB - unprade maps?

If I was the purchase a basic Tom Tom system with just GB mapping, is there anyway it can be upgraded with european maps at a later date?

Yes you can buy maps for just a bout anywhere in the world, you will need a larger memory card though.

But, the Tom Tom One Europe is only ~£20 more than a GB, where as the European map upgrade will cost £40 at a later date, plus the cost of the memory card.

FWIW, we bought a Tom Tom One Europe to replace an orginal Road Angel Navigator, and the Tom Tom is in a diferent universe to the RA. So much easier to use and the GPS reception defies belief after the RA Navigator.

OK, cheers guys, didn't know the extra maps would be so expenive. Like you say it would make sense to go for the european one straight off if the price difference is that low.
