who has been to the nurburgring 24hr race?

I am trying to organise a trip to the 24hr ring race and would be grateful for some info from any PHers that have attended in the past re buying tickets/camping passes etc. I am a seasoned Le Manser but wonder if there is an ACO equivalent to purchase these? Any info greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested to join, herr shnozz. Date for 2008 is 22.5. - 25.5.2008, where there's bank holiday in DE.

If you want to turn up and camp it is very easy. Just pay on the gate for your camping. Its even more of a free for all than Le Mans though so I would strongly advise getting there by Thursday, not least becasue there are some brilliant support races and a party/parade of the cars on the Thursday night.
