My sister recently bought one from Costco.

Seems to be OK and you get free updates

I got mine on wednesday and so far have found it spot on. This is as compared with my previous units, which are a TomTom and a Navman. The ViaMichelin is certainly a very good unit for the money.

Had mine for nearly a year, the x-950. Very pleased.

got the new X970-T europe with live traffic updates for £160 about a month ago so experience is still limited- until today:
PROS:
very cheap to buy and update
free camera updates
good camera database and good warning functionality
free live traffic updates
good interface for guidance
easy updating online for maps, software, cameras, everything
good interface with website to build trips and download routes or points
immense michelin guides info about restaurants etc built in
CONS
once gave me wrong directions to turn right where it was not allowed in central london
not so intuitive menus to navigate
software gets stuck sometimes and needs switch off on back again
serious ergonomic error, u cannot have it on cradle and car charger at the same time!
ergonomic error of the on-off button location-> u press it by accident when placing on cradle
screen and fonts a bit too small
