is there much difference on running costs and servicing etc between say a 4.0 or 5.0?

im guessing engine wise not much in it just thinking brakes and that kind of stuff.im sure been asked a million times but is the smaller engine more reliable due to a lesser stress on the engine?

I don't think either engine has too much to worry about personally, they are IME at least fairly bullet proof.

Running costs will be slightly higher on the 5 due to fuel usage if you do a lot of miles, but nothing too serious I wouldn't have thought, I certainly don't think I am spending more on the 5 than I used to spend on the 4 particularly...The 5 will soon need a new radiator which trades off against the gaskets I had to get fixed on the 4.....

Non that I have noticed, went from a 4L Chim to a 5L Griff and am actually finding it slightly cheaper to insure the Griff (more likely to be cherished I as rarer I guess) other than that zilch, haven't noticed any difference in MPG either
