Is there a particular sequence when bleading the brakes...?

For some daft reason i cant get the air out of the front drivers side...!!!

The remaining 3 - if i undo the blead nipple and pump the brakes i get a constant stream of fluid going down the blead kit pipe....on this one i get loads of air and occasional oil???

Wehn the engine is not running there is hardly any resistance when pushing the peddle...am i missing a trick somewhere???

scratchchin As far as I am aware there isn`t a sequence and i have done this many times successfully.
Not wanting to teach you to "suck eggs", but make sure the nipple is locked off at the end of the down stroke of the brake pedal and there is sufficient fluid in the reservoir.
Failing that, the union feeding that circuit maybe loose and is drawing air in at the master cylinder. Good luck!! thumbup

Its a real pain without an easi-bleed(on the resv.) or similar. Starting nearest to the resv. & working out is my usual method?

In addition to the above, if the master cylinder has run dry then you may have an air lock in the cylinder or in the pipes. This would usually affect both front brakes or both rear brakes, so if you're only getting this problem on one corner the cause is likely to be in the pipework associated with that corner. If the calliper itself is dry then you may need to unbolt it and turn it round to chase all the air up to the bleed nipple, and when you bleed it ensure that no air can get back into the calliper either past the thread, between the nipple and the bleed pipe, or back up the bleed pipe (position it so it remains full of fluid).
