Are A3 1.8T and Golf 1.8T exhausts interchangeable?

I'm looking at buying a nearly new Milltek exhaust off a Golf 1.8T but want to put it on an equivalent A3 1.8T.

Given the underpinnings are the same for both, will the exhaust fit without issue. The only concern I have is the tail pipes, does the tail pipes length or exit position vary between the two cars?

the routing of it is the same (if A3=non Quattro) but the back box is different. Golf's can have the 4motion rear valance to fit the pipes sweet, but the A3 has to have them below the bumper, else you've got to "modify" the valance.
