Audi RS4 bluetooth ......

Cant get my phone to connect to the bluetooth in the car (2007 RS4) - do I need to activate the bluetooth in the car to pair with phone and if so how do I do it - cant fathon it out - been through set up menu in dash display - sorry if this is a stupid question . Thanks Barry

what type of mobile have you got? with a nokia, i just switched "bluetooth on" on my phone, "then search for devices" on my phone and it searches then comes up as "paired to audi device" , it then asked for a password/keycode on my phone which is the default one which i entered then job done..this has to be done with ignition on
