Just had Austec on the phone - My chim is better.

It was juddery below 2000rpm, quite bad.

They have replaced the road speed sensor wiring, a lambda, adjusted the air-flow meter, and a few other things I've already forgotten. apparently it's not 100% perfect and judder free, but certainly better.

Looking forward to picking it up now smile

What reason would a garage have for fixing a car less than 100% scratchchin

(Unless you put the £ block on them doing the whole job)

I have never handed a car back to a customer telling them it is almost right without an explanation why.

I have pointed out something that could not be put right 100%, eg the door has been adjusted but as the shell is 30mm shorter on the o/side than the n/side it is the best we could do.

How odd scratchchin

Still, the good news is that when someone asks you if you know anywhere to get your car repaired almost right you will now have someone to recommend hehe

Well, for what its worth I wouldnt take it back until they have fixed it 100% as any decent garage wouldnt let you take it back unless it was fixed 100% !!

You shouldn't have to ask them, if they have told you the car is ready to collect(and probably how much you owe them) and that it is not right but better than it was then they should also have explained to you exactly why - at that point.

Seems like a really poor show IMO - tell the boss(as opposed to the staff).

Not the best response to a thread entitled "It's fixed"!

Don't want to rain on your parade, Altrezia, but fair points are being made here.

Keep your chin up and your money in your wallet...

Called them today, spoke to a mechanic who worked on the car, seems that the person I first spoke to had the wrong end of the stick and all is well.

Picking it up on Saturday. smile
