A quick question for other S4S owners. I've had real problems of late with tram lining. This is where the car sits in the dips left by trucks in the road surface. The car does not inspire confidence at speeds over 90-100 mph becaase the oddities in the road surface can make the car unstable. I've had the geometry checked, tyres are good and with correct pressure. Before I take it back to Lotus -- has anyone else had this problem and can you provide a clue to its cause?
Thanks

Yes, I've noticed my S4s tram lining but only on noticeably rutted roads.

Not normally a problem.

Yes. If you drive in 'ruts' in the road the tyres will try to follow the rut. Its perfectly normal.

The nearside lane of the A34 near oxford is terrible. Solution is to drive in the other carraigeway or just don't drive in the ruts

iv had my s4s up to 130 without issue. I will wait for fresh rubber to push any higher than that!

Both of my S4s's do the same on bad country roads. On one stretch, I can't even take them over 60mph because they feel unsafe. On the same stretch I used to drive a 300ZX without any problems at over 100mph.
That's the nature of the car - only likes nice roads.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like its just an "interesting" feature of the setup of the car. All adds to the entertainment.
