While getting into my car after a night out I noticed the flashing immobilising light would not switch off, instead it stayed constantly on, though very dim. Once I was home the car would not lock.
The next day after taking the dash off I found a blown 2amp fuse in that little black box called the Central Door Locking Control Unit. As soon as I replaced it the car automatically armed the immobiliser and then blew the same fuse. Not wanting to have the car totally unusable I replaced the same fuse, when it caused a fuse on the main fuse board to blow.
Has any one experienced this?

In the meantime I've managed to override the fuel pump. When the key is turned the engine cranks. Can anyone tell me how to get spark so i can drive it down to the local auto electrician shop?

Thanks in advance

It depends on what the alarm system is and what if any mods you have as to how easy or difficult it is to override.

I would recommend you cal Carl on 0772 072 3407 at Car and Bike Installations Ltd he is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cheers,

Simon.

Thanks Simon. The car is a 1994 model with a standard factory immobiliser. I live in Perth Australia so it's hard to find people who have knowledge with these cars.
