Been documenting the progress of redecorating my house. The project started back in May and is only now finally coming together... so pleased I've done this as the change is quite drastic but as I've lived with it I kind of forgot what it was like....

What did you do with the other end of the room (with the gas fire)?

those pics to follow wink I removed the gas fire and plasterboarded over the cotswold stone. The flags are there still and messy so covered with a rug, a wicker basket on top and a nice mirror on the chimney breast. Dining table into the area of the bay window. I'll get the pics but no point before its been dressed properly

I spotted the mirror - it looks almost identical to the one we have on our chimney breast. Which is a bit disappointing, because I had ours made specially!! hehe Oh well, I guess it's difficult to be original nowadays!

the sofas are a a problem but its a workable solution. I downsized from the last place and they are huge, there is more room than it appears but I'll probably replace the coffee table with something a little less obtrusive

I reckon we've got a tall unit to match the steel and glass one next to your chair. Might be free to a good home in the near future...

I've done one of those smile

Never did take a final pic!

Something I learnt from that was if you're caputuring pictures of a room in stages, its worth thinking about taking the same pic with the same camera at the same angle. Otherwise you just get a mess of pictures that don't really tell any story, like here
