I know RawShooter has long since been acquired by Adobe, but I still prefer using it to the functionality within CS3.

Has anyone got the “full” (ie not free) version of RawShooter, and if so what’s different? – and is it worth me trying to track down a copy?

TIA smile

Have you tried Lightroom? It's what Adobe turned RS into.

Yeah, not a fan. Prefer the simplistic touch in RS.

I'd do a search - there was lots of comparisons a while ago whe nRS was still supported.

I have a full copy but haven't used it for a while since I moved to lightroom . . .

I was a big fan or RS and initially preferred it to LR, but honestly,
give LR another go, its in a different league.

How does LR compare to CS3 for importing and sorting RAW's?

Any users of CS3 only, on here?

Still trying to get a copy of CS3, I guess if I have CS, I should in theory be able to upgrade on their website? (even if the CS copy is not 100% cosher)

I use CS3 and nothing else. Don't know if it's better/worse...it just suits me.

x2. Initially confused, but now couldn't be without it. It's very simple really tongue out

Add a third Lightroom recommendation. Steep learning curve, but worth it, IMO. The only pity is that they haven't found a way to accurately port RawShooter settings across.

The Pro version of RawShooter was better than the light. If you can rack it down, it's pretty good, but still lacks a tremendous amount of stuff that LR can do.

Lightroom! yes

I wasn't convinced at first, but it's really easy when you get going and it's handled about 5000 images for me in the last ten weeks making RAW files easy to handle, find, process, tweak and resize as JPEG just how I want them.

Give it another shot.
