Just so pleased that I never raced on that circuit, how disgusting was that with no trained staff on hand, not even an ambulance or a fire truck. We might live in the Nanny state, but now I know why.

What's the nanny state got to do with having proper safety measures at a race circuit?

Still wouldnt fancy being him. Im sure he went from a mild shade of yellow, to charcoal !!!

Total disgrace that a race series with such expensive cars, doesnt even have proper paramedics and fire crew in attendance.

As long as the competitors have knowledge of the safety features available then thats fine.
Its when peoples freedom to chose their own destiny is removed by government or any other authority then you might as well kill yourself as there is no point existing. Maybe they didn't care the safety was less than ideal. If they had knowledge of it then why shouldn't they decide to race there?
If I want to jump off a cliff into the sea why cant I? Should I expect a full paramedical team to be everywhere I go all the time?
Remove all risk from society and you create a brainless populace.. Whoops, too late.

Interesting comment!! Are you implying that a race series with 'cheap' cars wouldn't have the same type of safety on hand as one with 'expensive' cars???
