Need to buy a door control box

Hi, has anyone got a door/window control box they can sell me? have tried all the normal channels and nobody has one!

Its a real pain going through the boot to get in!

Have you tried any of the scap yards,Bell Hill or Douglas Valley they should have them, although what price I don't know

hi, yes tried both and the tvr shop and Henly tvr and clevor trevor!

I'm worried that i can't get one and be stuck with no door and windows!!!

Is getting it repaired an option?

I've not looked into it but surely someone who knows their electronics could repair / copy it.

What are the symptons? Do the doors occasionally work? Do the windows operate?

I only ask as i had similar problems and it turned out to be the proximity sensor at the bottom of the door that needed adjusting.

Hi, i'm pretty sure it's the control box, i had a problem when the battery went flat and all the door/boot solinoids popped on and off until i unplugged the box, when i re connected it nothing works doors or windows, it burn't out the o/s door motor and boot soliniod in the process which i have now fixed, have tested all the doors/boot/windows seperatly and they all fuction but when you re connect the control box a relay clicks and thats all.

I badly need a new one!

I think that Racing Green do an exchange service. Not sure if they do all the boxes or just some.

They send you a good unit, which you fit and then you send back the old box which they then refurbish, ready for the next person.

Did you manage to sort it?
mines done exactly the same, working fine when I was trying to jump start it, soon as fitted a new battery, all windows, doors and boot stop working, driver door stuck in part way down in the door opening position. I dont have the luxury of going throuh the boot as the boot doesnt work either, so our little secret would stay secret for very long.

HI, been away all weekend so sorry for late reply!

If you havn't got it sorted yet this is what i have learned...

If you 'spike' the control box by jump start or boost charger it will wipe the programming out from the main control chip rendering the box useless
Luckily i have fifteen years experience in car electrics so i dismantled the box replaced the relays etc only to find it was the control chip, if your door won't close properly the door solinoid may be burn't out (as mine was) but this is easliy replaced at a cost of £10.
Luckily i have found a new unit from Automeddon in Blackpool (thanks for posting the address guys) so i think i will be back on the road very soon.
I have worked out most of the wiring to the control box if you need to know which wires do what, let me know.
