Heated Insoles for Boots
Discussion
Been in contact with Exo2 about their heated motorcycle jacket.
Anyway their latest product is heated insoles rechargable battery driven dur out in a couple of weeks. They are looking for some early adopters and they are happy to give a Ph'er discount on their kit.
Details will follow, ie costs and discounts hope this helps.

Well - heating elements aren't exactly power frugal!I used to get through 6AA's a day on my waistcoat. sod that for a laugh!
What sort of batteries were you using?
I've got 2400mAh NiMh rechargeables.
duracell cheapos. i know, i know...
I fancy a 1200GS. Heated everything as standard...
I miss my VFR400. I had a heated seat made up for last winter, heated grips, and ended up running the waistcoat through it.
Then I ran out of lecktricity...
Bloody regulator bloody rectifier grumble mumble!

Am I going to be a kill joy? Probably, I have been looking to invest in a heated jacket, gloves, trousers and socks all heated and wired into the bikes battery. Gerbing's is a large American company, which has the products to do the job, although they have distributors here in the UK, it is now far cheaper to buy and import there product, then buying from companies in the UK.

Just remember to factor in import duty into your comparisonSheppard000 said:

I checked out the Gerbing gloves V the Exo2 gloves , IMHO EXO2 were much better on the protection front, EXO have developed a material that warms up without inserting heating wires, thats the major difference, so you can wash the Exo stuff real easy likePS don't I think Gerbing stuff is good , just Exo stuff is TNG

Do you really need all this heated kit?
The only part of my body that feels the cold is my fingers - hopefully some muffs from the bike show will cure that!
I find everything else keeps quite warm.
Either you only ride in summer, or you wear 57 layers of clothing, you have an ultra fast metabolism, your ride is only 10 minutes, or you need to get down the gym to work some lard off The only part of my body that feels the cold is my fingers - hopefully some muffs from the bike show will cure that!

Basically - you're odd

Seriously though, it depends alot on your gear and what you ride. But most of us feel the cold well enough and once you start losing feeling in your extremities - heated gear seems like a VERY good idea!
Wait 'til the temps eally drop - then see how you fare!

ocks, who needs all that shite but when you have it (as I found with the heated grips) it just makes riding more pleasant and you can get on with doing the thing you like which is riding. So 'need'... probably not but
it, you don't walk around outside in your socks because technically you don't need the shoes.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
