Xenon Headlamp help please.

My wife owns a 12 month old 325d m-sport and is wanting to upgrade from standard headlamps to those rather cool "corona rings".How much will this cost and will it have to be done by the dealership? Your advise would be much appreciated!!!

I've just bought the exact same car, and the dealer has informed me that you can't have these lights upgraded, and that if has to be done in the factory at time of assembly.
Doesn't sound right to me. but he should know...I guess.

You'd think so wouldn't you. I asked as I had the choice of 2 and the other one had them. I asked how much the change would cost and got that response. Praps he meant he couldn't be ar$ed!

I'm sure dealer is mistaken. There's a vast worldwide industry dedicated to aftermarket embelishments on BMWs, especially 3 series. I think you might be writing about lamps called "angeleyes." They are available on eBay for lots of cars, including BMW 3 series.
I would urge you to subscribe to the another esential BMW forum, in addition to pistonheads:

and just have a browse around the 3 series forums, esp' the "BMW Car Modifications."

Thanks for that link Huckster! Must say I am a regular on the Porsche section as I own rather modest 964, but I must say you guys over hear seem to be much more freindly and less, dare I say it...up your own arses! I know I'm ownly generalising here but hey, what the hell...Cheers!
