Our friend in the French capital has told us that the transport strike there has made 20 minute drives into 3 hours.

I'm on my way to Birmingham - but I'm on a train - which is on-time!

Interesting -- I was driving around Paris today, going from the Loire up to Calais, going around the southern motorways about 11.00 am. Heavy traffic certainly but all moving at 60mph. Was actually amazed how easy it was although I accept it was mid day and not in the centre.

Interestingly[Or not] according to the Mail last week, the island at the Arc De Triumphe is the largest in the world and if you have an accident whilst on it you are not insured.

Take a look from above, during the rush hour.
We always do, when in Paris and it's just SO much fun watching the bumps, scrapes and near misses and listening to the claxons and fury!

Live from Paris right now.
Rush hour was as silly as ever.

TGV tomorrow to whisk us to Nice!
