It has now been three weeks since i've had the Corvette and has been used every day.In that time the Cerb has sat in the garage. The intention was to sell the Cerb once i had the C5,but to be honest i cant part with it.Its now got to the point that the other half is on my back every couple of days asking when i'm getting rid of it.She says i have to much around me,and it has to go.I intend to take it on the London Thunder route this Sunday.I know once behind the wheel again it will make it even harder to sell.I've tried to convince her i should keep it.But she wont have none of it and says its time to move on.I dont think she ever really liked it anyway.I think i will tell her i've sold it.Put it in another garage and keep it like a secret mistress.hehe

not really frown
took it to BTaP and drove ok until I had to come to a stop, and it just wants to stall, it's running better so I think a good blast done it good. But don't think its up to any stop/start driving ie London Thunder/tunnel runs etc frownfrown

The reason she likes the vette is the exact same reason you'll eventually prefer the Cerb, and also incidently the reason I never bought a porshe.

Do you really want to be associated with a woman who prefers a Corvette to a Cerbera? - what does that say about you?

Yeah two different cars. The Cerb i feel is a proper drivers car,all ways an event to be in,even if your at the side of the road waiting for the RACheheThe Vette on the other hand altough having loads of grunt, and handling well feels a bit remote, coupled with the fact my toolbox has now been made redundant makes it even more remote.hehe

The vette is an M5/porshe/etc really isn't it. In the hunt for the ultimate power car its lost its engagement with the driver.

If I look back at the cars I've had the ones that really stand out as being fun were my spitfire, FiatX19, and an elan +2. Only because they were all fatally flawed. Today its the Cobra, XKSS and the Cerb.
I still find it difficult as a petrolhead to say that I wouldn't want a more powerful car. But looking back the performance figures seem to have nothing to do with how much I enjoy the cars. Its the cars ability to make me sweaty smile.

Mark, lend it to M3John, that we he can pretend to have bought one and you can pretend to have sold one.

Seems like an ideal match to me biggrin

She never really liked it.She always felt a bit claustropobic in it.For here the Vette is an easier car to get along with on a day to day basis.
