Timber merchants in east anglia

Hi all,

I need some sawn oak for various furnature jobs around the house, shelves etc.

I have not found a decent reasonably price timber merchant since I moved down here, they seem to be few and far between. Does anyone know any?

Yep, Thorogoods is a real treasure trove. Huge stocks of many varieties of timber combined with really helpful and knowledgeable staff

Only open until lunchtime on Saturdays though.
