2005 GSXR XK5 Vs 2005 ZXR6-R C1H Which One
Discussion
Basically I've narrowed my search down to these two bikes
[to replace my stolen 2004 R6] and I'm struggling to decide which one:
2005 GSXR XK5 [Special Edition 2oth Aniversary Paint Job], 1000 miles, standard other than alarm. Mint.
2005 ZXR6-R C1H [In Green], 3000 miles, standard other than alarm. Mint.
Both essentially the same price, WHICH ONE??
Though I'd ask for some input and put it out to the masses

Good question - I'm 6ft 1" tall - so pretty tall.
I've ridden both bikes in the past:
Kawasaki for about 1 hour on a test ride, I found it pretty comfortable but I did notice it felt very very short from seat to handlebars.
Suzuki for 3 short rides - felt very comfortable and pretty similar to my current 2004 R6 [which I also think is pretty short].
I must admit I am thinking more Suzuki than Kawasaki at the moment on looks alone.
[Theres also another cheap 1999 R6 I'm thinking about also ... but we'll not factor that in at the moment ]

Reason I ask about your size is I'm quite small(In height!!)...
I've had the C1 636 for a couple of years now, must admit it's a big bike for the 600 class. Good for touring as it's got big padded seat plenty of grunt, but as a weekend thrash I find it quite hard work cos of it's bulk....
Went out on a new R6 the other week, and was amazed how much smaller it was, the abilty to throw it around was seems much better for me.....ermmmm do i hear a new 08 model calling?!!

Only just saw this topic - and I think you made the right choice - but I do have a K4 GSXR 600!
Before I bought the GSXR - I rode all the Jap bikes out there in it's class - GSXR K4, 2005 ZX6R, R6 (old style) and CBR600RR 2005.
The worst bike was the CBR600RR - I could not stand it, was uncomfortable, and felt cheap for a Honda, really did not like it. The R6 was ok - but didn't really do much for me and I discounted because new model was just round the corner.
The two I liked the best were the GSXR and the ZX6R. At the time I was also using the bike for a commuter as well, and this made my mind up for the GSXR, as it has a metal tank for tank bag, more room on it, and is not as crouched over. If I had just been buying a toy, the ZX6R would have won every time!
I now have my GSXR 600 and a mates ZX6R in the garage at home, which I can ride whenever I want. I still love the ZX6R most for short bursts of playing, but for having as a day to day bike, and enjoying the odd long trip the GSXR wins overall.

Picked it up yesterday and i'm very very happy with it
Bought if from a Copper in Derby, it came with the original invoice for £7199!! In the 2.5 years he had it he has only done 1053 miles!!! [And 500 of thoses were done in the first month of ownership!!].
