anyone know any good rally days in Yorkshire.
Discussion
hi all,
It's a mate of mine's 30th birthday in a few weeks and i need to find something decent to either get him or send him to do, so i was thinking of a decent rallying day or something similar.
we have track cars so do a lot of trackdays and also go offroading, so it seemed to make sense that rallying was a good option.
If anyone can recommend anywhere where experienced drivers can have a lesson or try at it without the usual don't go too fast instruction you get when you book these days.
(we got one for a friend in a caterham at mallory and they wouldn't let him go over 70mph...)
thanks.

These guys are in Lincolnshire near Doncaster but I've not heard of any closer ones.

I had a day session with these guys a few years ago. Half day Rally, half day Tarmac. Golf GTI for rally and Scooby Impreza for Tarmac. Fantastic day out BUT..... theres always a but, it depends what sort of Rally experience you are after. The track they had when I was there was basically a small mud/tarmac/gravely circuit round cones and tyres and other assorted obstacles. It was plenty of fun and you certainly spent a lot of time sideways on opposite lock but if you were looking for a more Forest stage/fast rally road experience this isn't it.http://www.rally-drive.com/
Can recommend the place though (IMHO) I had a great day.

I've raced supermoto at blyton before and it was a good laugh, but I think that will be similar to a trackday, as you said, i would prefer something like a forest stage or something a little more off road orientated.
thanks for the link anyway.
any others that anyone know's would be great.

No recommmendations, as I haven't used either but, https://www.driversdreamdays.co.uk/product.asp?id=... appear to use Dalby forest.
http://www.gorallyschool.co.uk/ seem to have decent stage set up.
