540i engine and gearbox Strenghs

I'm wondering if any peeps on here could help?

I am planning on putting a BMW M60 engine into my 200sx and need some info on the engine.

Does anyone know how much power the engine can take? I have heard about 700bhp without worries, but not sure if this is just hearsay?

Also the 6 speed (E34 540) and 5 speed (E34 530) gearboxes can handle power wise?

The engine will get rebuilt regardless and will probably have lower compression forged pistons installed due to the boost I am planning on running on the supercharger.

Any info would be great.

I've got 405ps on a Supercharged m60 running at 6psi, this is a maximum given the Auto box, A manual box m60 with 7-8psi should be capable of 600 ps i doubt any more, but then again i don't no any one who has been there So ?????????

Cheers for the reply, so it sounds like the engine won't moan but the box might.

600ps should be fine for what I need at present a little more would be nice though but the torque would be great either way
