I was really chuffed with the griff after a faultless 850 miles round trip to Le Mans but having got back I noticed a broken lens on the high beam unit in the grill.

I know its been done before (forum search didnt help) but can anyone suggest the best place to get a replacement ?

Is it easy enough to replace ? (have had a cracked one for ages.. the 3M tape keeps it together)

EdT - a circle of Armourfend would do the job better and protect it from getting worse... cheaper than a new lamp.

If I remove the tape the thing will fall to bits I reckon. Think some dear person parked into it (the protective 3M tape is VERY strong against stone etc.)

So anyhow, about this replacement glass anyone?

The driving lights for a Griff are a sealed unit,
The ones of the 500 are a Cibie SC unit Valeo part number 082348.
you can get them from the Cibie UK Reps, Lewisham (020 8297 1439)

I got one last year it was about £40 + VAT + postage.

IIRC They are only held in by a big rubber band!

I now have carbo disk and have not bust a light since (crossed fingers, touch wood etc)
