Fueling System

You can use any after market PUSH EFI pump, as long as it has the right fittings.
Also the filter is a fairly common part. I think Jag or Rover EFI ones are fine. filter should be about £10
Is there any reason why you think you need to change the pump, apart from them being the most common item to fail. The filter should be changed every 30k.
You may or may not want to fit a pre pump filter. there is one in the swirl pot, but these can come loose or get holes in them. also some of the Ali swirl pots don't have the pre-filters.
You may also want to get a Ali or Stainless swirl pot, if you don't have one allready, and the steel ones seem to only last about 10 years.

Seems the AFM may not have been the problem so i now also have a spare flapper to. Took it for a proper run yesterday and it is still missing but only at full revs so now i think it could be a fueling problem or am i clutching at straws now. Starting to get very frustrated with it now.

It could still be a lot of things.
Have you have the fuel pressure tested at full rev's
Does it make any differance if its hot or cold.
Could also be a problem with the ECU.
Depends on how far up the rev range, as could also be a disy problem.
have you got anymore details on the problem, and what you have currently changed.

See what's happening to the fuel pressure when the problem occurs, that will soon tell you whether you're barking up the wrong tree. Also stick a NOID light across one of the injectors, this will show you the duty cycle and let you confirm there's no sudden change in the ECU fuelling demands.
