Anyone going to Rally GB?
Discussion
Ill be going as usual (8th year on the trot now), only on the Saturday this time though.
Going to a service area in the morning then the special stage in the Stadium in the evening and then out on the beer
To be honest, i only go for the night out now. The events steadily got more dull and expensive year on year, once the few WRC cars have gone through it soon gets very dull watching 2wd Suzuki's etc..

Ye, i know what your saying. 10 years ago you could almost drive onto the stage and it wouldnt cost a penny to step foot in the woods. There were far more interesting cars going through the stages too, lots of manufacturers and loads of private entrys from Fiat 500's and fiesta's to Megans and every type of Cosworth ever made. I do like getting grit in my teeth on the stages though so although im not happy to pay the stupid prices i still do it. Getting onto the ranges again this year for the full dayGoing to a service area in the morning then the special stage in the Stadium in the evening and then out on the beer

I'm going to the super special in the Millenium Stadium. Wanted to go for the whole weekend but the wife didn't fancy standing in a Welsh forest for 3 days!
I wanted to do the same buta) its far to expensive to stand by the side of a road for a whole weekend
b) haven't a clue where to stand (i dont know the area at all) and could end up not catching as much as i could
Hopefully the SS will be brilliant and well looking forward to it! When should i think about turning up will it be a nightmare to park etc if i leave it too late?

As for where to stand on the stages, i find that if you walk away from the main spectator areas, which are packed, and further along the track, you can get closer to the action
