TVR UK prices include VAT; US prices do not have a VAT. The cost of airbags and other compliance costs (including a better warranty)will probably add a similar cost that VAT would have added onto TVR's in the UK (17.5%). Once TVR has sold enough cars to cover their compliance costs, you will see TVR's prices remain stable while other manufacturers raise their costs.

What does anyone think of Bermuda's thoughts?

Plausible?

Bermudas thoughts make sense. I read elsewhere that a well heeled business approached TVR to see if he could sell TVR's in the USA. Peter Wheeler met with him and told him NO. So Bermuda, your idea is right, but Peter Wheeler is not ready.
Maybe he wants to do it himself--not a bad idea really.
