thought on alonso?
Discussion
Going to Ferrari would leave him in the same boat as he was in at McLaren. I can't see them giving him preferential over Kimi.
He'll go to Red Bull (where he can dominate Coulthard/Webber) or to Renault (where he can dominate Piquet Jnr)
Unsure which at the moment. Renault got there act together a bit towards the end of the year and having FA back might spur them on a bit more.
I think he's waiting on the FIA spying verdict to a small extent, but he's probably playing the two off of each other a bit to bump up the retainer...

'course Piquet Junior will be pushover...
I think not. He'll have an impact on GP in his first season, not necessarily as great as Lewis Hamilton, but I'm afraid Alonso may need to learn some humility in the meantime because he won't out qualify him as easily as he thinks - he get rolled a few times in 2008. Fernando Alonso is not the 'only good' driver in a good crop of new talent (Rosberg, Hamilton, Glock etc).

He won't. But Flavio will give Alonso the number one status he craves.
As much as i'd like to see it I'm not 100% sure we will. NPjr's good, don't get me wrong, but i still remember that he didn't exactly have it all his was in F3 and was more than prone to the odd 'latin' moment himself.

i just had a thought, FA doing a years testing duties for ferrari then for 2009 a race seat alongside Kimi.
it seems clear he doesn't wanna go back to renault who are now midfield, and there doesn't seem to be many other race options worth filling.
Ferrari already have a fairly good test driver. _____________________________________________________ M. Schumacher.it seems clear he doesn't wanna go back to renault who are now midfield, and there doesn't seem to be many other race options worth filling.
