cerb's back in hospital friday for valve clearences, new water pipes, wax, and the mystery of where the clutch fluid is going.
there guess is the slave seals, cant make my mind up whether to go for a new clutch as well.
the clutch seems fine,as far as i am aware still on the origanal 40.000 miles,i know if i go for a new clutch it will need the bits as well.

the labour is expensive for the clutch, as is a new slave. If I were you i'd have the whole lot changed while it's all out, it would be a shame to have to re-visit again in a few months. BTW go for a Clevor Trevor unit too.........also I can't believe that's the original clutch.......

I made that mistake only 4 months ago. 1 Month after slave done, then back in for a clutch. Booger!

Get the clutch done while your at it

thanks, the original plan was to inspect the clutch and go from there.
i know to replace the clutch it will need the fly wheel and bell houseing replaced.
i was told its another 6 bolts to remove the clutch,it just seems to me it would be a shame to replace something which is ok.
as to the 40.000 miles on the clutch i try not to abuse it.

My clutch had done 44k ish before it went. When it went it was only a finger that had snapped. I had the clutch, master & slave replaced in one go...

You can get the orginal bellhousing bored out to fit, which saves a few pennies.
