A few newbies?
Discussion
I have been reading this forum for quite a while (especially your exploits Chilli!) but am an infrequent poster.
Reading everybody's reasons for getting into biking and on the 'Simple question...' thread got me reviewing my riding career and resolving to get my 'projects' sorted and ride a bit more often and contribute a bit more here.
So, hello everybody!

I've noticed a few new names lately. What happened to the good old days of introductions etc?
perhaps it's just me, but I don't do the whole introduction thing because i'd feel like a right t**t, can't really see the point (apart from ott politeness) eg
hi, brite spark just a newbie here saying hello (really what is the point)
generally just gets a few replies, hi, hello, welcome to the forum, have fun, gets hijacked by other newbie's etc, etc...
then dissapears off the face of the earth
besides if every newbie did it...
it would clog the forums up to hell
or
there would have to be a forum for newbie's to say hello
Hi Chilli,
you are right we should be more polite. I just got into biking this year but I have been a member in the background for a while being a TVR owner and I have previously gone on a eurohoon and a couple of chateau runs so I have met some great like minded people and friends through this site.
I posted earlier this week about my new bike and will be uploading piccies when I pick her up tomorrow....you have all been warned!

Hi , i'm new to this too , been looking at the site a while now but only just decided to join up ,
Only been on bikes for 6 years or so but love it .
Got me a zzr1100 and a little zxr400.
Started out on a 97 GSXR600 though , went and bought that two hours after passing the test.
Having fun ever since including doing a rather damp nurburgring on the zzr
this year , great fun.

Not sure that many many people actually are 'qualified' to be on here...don't need no licence to post...

Feel free to post, ask stupid questions and joke around like the rest of the good folk here. Then if/when you get a bike/licence you will understand what all the mickey taking is about first hand
