What space saver? Where to get one

My wife's Grand Voyager had a puncture the other day and whilst waiting for a new tyre, the space saver also developed a puncture, so much so I am being told by the dealer it needs replacing. Not just the tyre but the whole space saver wheel.

The car is on contract hire and while the main wheel is having a new tyre replaced and paid for by the Fleet Management of Chrysler, they have said the spare is down to us to pay. Holden Chrysler want £82 for a replacement.

Anyone know where I can get one cheaper or ideed why the Fleet company wont replace it as part of the contract. I am pulling what is left of my hair out after dealing with them...

Buy a couple of cans of puncture repair goo instead.

I already have a can but unfortunately, when the recovery driver collected it, he drove the car and knackered the rim hence the need for a new one.. : (
And as its on contract hire then it needs to be returned with the space saver.

Try aproaching the recovery driver then. You probably wont get anywhere but it's worth a shot.

i know of no fleet company that pay for punctures to be repaired., let along new wheels.

and i work for a 20 man company that has a 6000 strong fleet of HGV, LGV, STGO, Vans and cars.

Daimler Chrysler cover wear and tear and punctures on the maintenance coverage. Or at least they did on the first one....
